The power of the Holy Spirit???   - Victor King

"The power of the Holy Spirit ".........We have heard this said in the church world for many years. You may have heard it in your church, in a crusade or even in a Benny Hinn Conference. We always look forward to attend a crusade, conference or a charismatic meeting to witness and experience the 'Power of the Holy Spirit'. Nothing wrong with all of these.

But my question is…….. Is the Power of the Holy Spirit just evident in a conference or in a meeting? When people get slain or healed, we say we had just witness the Power of the Holy Spirit. Christians look forward for a church meeting or a Christian conference to witness and experience the Power of the Holy Spirit. There is a certain powerful manifestation of the Holy Spirit in a Christian meeting.

But what about our everyday life? What about from Monday to Saturday? Is the Holy Spirit just present on a Sunday and or just in a Christian meeting?

Think about it.......

Friends, thank God for the power of the Holy Spirit in a conference or in a meeting but the true power of the Holy Spirit is in our everyday lives. We need His power EVERYDAY. Jesus Himself said that He will never leave us nor forsake us - Hebrews 13:5.. Lets not spiritualize the power of the Holy Spirit and make it sound so spooky and only if you are in tuned to the Spiritual world, you can feel and see the His power.

Lets see from the Word of God, how the 'Power of the Holy Spirit' is moving in our everyday lives. We don't just need His power on a Sunday or in a certain meeting. His power is evident to us everyday, 24 hours 7 days a week, amen.

The Bible tells us that the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall   everything I have told you. - John 14:26

Lets see from John 14:26 some of the practical Power of the Holy Spirit in our lives everyday. His power is there to be a Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby.

When you feeling down and sad, He comforts you. He counsel's you. He helps you in any and every need. He intercessor's for you. He fights for you as your advocate. He strengthens you and when you cannot make it, He is your standby

Whatever problem you are going through, His power is there for through the Holy Spirit. When His Power manifest in your life as a Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby your problems will fade away.

John 14:26 also tells us that He will teach you all things and He will cause you to recall whatever He told you through His Word from a preaching or the Bible. Hey! He does almost everything for you. You are not alone. His power is there for you every minute of your life.

There are times in our lives when we are going through a hopeless situation or facing an issue that we are confused about. It might be any problems in our lives and we are very famous for saying this.......(illustration)

"I was sad and down and out of no where, I was lifted up"

" I lost my documents and something told me that it was in the drawer."

"I was so oppressed and I was reminded of one of Pastor's sermon"

" We were suppose to sign that agreement but we felt uncomfortable to do it and later I found out that it was a fraud"

"I was smoking and confessing the Word of God and suddenly, I did not have the urge to smoke again"

I could give you alot of illustrations but lets look at some of it. out of no where, something told me,   I was reminded   , we felt uncomfortable, suddenly

Who is this out of no where? Who is this something that told you? Who reminded you? Who made to you feel comfortable or uncomfortable? Who is this suddenly?

It is Holy Spirit. It was the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT that was moving and manifesting Himself. For when you are weak, He becomes strong.

Even if you have are being questioned or if you have to speak anywhere or give a presentation, the Power of the Holy Spirit will do it on your behalf
And when they bring you before the synagogues and the magistrates and the authorities, do not be anxious [beforehand] how you shall reply in defense or what you are to say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour and moment what you ought to say. - Luke 12:11-12

The power of the Holy Spirit is evident in your life everyday. Don't wait for a meeting or a conference to experience His power, experience it right now in your everyday life. Don't' just wait for a great man of God to come down and have a huge crusade to experience the Power of the Holy Spirit. Experience it right now, this moment.

Nothing wrong having a great man of God to come to your city. What I'm saying is you don’t have to wait till then. Experience His power now.

His power is so powerful that He helps to pray! even in your weaknesses and helps you and sets you free. So too the Holy Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. - Romans 8:26

What about when you fail or sin?

The power of the Holy Spirit moves mightily! when you have failed or sinned because He knows that you are not the right opponent to sin. Only Jesus is. I have another powerful message on that ' Grace is the reflection of the Finish Work of Jesus'. Its on my blog. I shared according to the Word of God that we are not the rightful opponent to sin. We can't fight sin ourselves. Jesus nailed the devil and his power over sin by finishing it on the Cross.

Have you noticed it was Jesus who finished the Work? Not us. So don't even try to fight sin yourself. You will be more involved in it. Use Jesus to fight sin. The Bible tells us that sin shall NOT have power over us for we are not under law but Grace - Romans 6:14. The bible also tells us that Jesus is the Grace of God - Titus 2:11. Stay under Grace. Use Grace to fight sin. Let the power of Grace help you to fight sin. Let the power of the Holy Spirit of Grace bring you over the dominion of sin.

And how can the Power of the Holy Spirit do that?

The Bible tells us in John 16:811 that   v8. When the Holy Spirit comes, He will convict and convince the world and bring demonstration to it about sin and about righteousness (right standing with God) and about judgment:

"There is it brother King!!!!!! The Holy Spirit is out there to get you! when you sin and judge you! And condemn you! "

Someone might just read this and conclude that the Holy Spirit is there to convict and convince us of sin and judgment.

But let's read on...........

9. about sin, because they do not believe in Me [trust in, rely on, and adhere to Me];

Verse 9 is talking about Unbelievers. They do not believe in Jesus.

10. About righteousness (right standing with God), because I go to My Father, and you will see Me no longer;

Do you believe in Jesus? If yes, then you would have probably believed that Jesus went back to the Father right? So! today because Jesus finished the Work at the Cross and went back and sat down at the Father's right hand, the Power of the Holy Spirit is there to Convict and Convince you how right! you are in the Father's eyes. It does not matter how much you have failed or sinned but His power is there to tell you about your righteousness you have in Christ.

Verse 10 is for the believer.

In case some of us might want to know about the judgment part, read on......

11. about judgment, because the ruler (evil genius, prince) of this world [Satan] is judged and condemned and sentence already is passed upon him.

I think I don't have to explain much right? It clearly tells you that Satan is being judge and condemned not the believer.

Whenever you sin or fail, God's gives you the power to Know or have the knowledge that you are still righteous because of the Finish Work of Jesus Christ. Remember the Bible also tells us that God's people are zealous but destroyed because of the lack of knowledge.

"Sin fades away in the presence of Grace by the power of the Holy Spirit"

For if you live according to the dictates of the flesh, you will surely die. But if you live through the power of the Holy Spirit you are habitually putting to death (making extinct) the evil deeds prompted by the body, you shall   live forever. - Romans 8:13

What about living right?

Well, we have the Power of the Holy Spirit to help us in that too. " Right believing produces Right living " -   Pastor Joseph Prince (Spore - www.newcreation.org.sg ) When you believe right, God's power will transform and help you to live right and do good works out of the overflow of the Good Shepherd that lives inside you.

There is an interesting passage here in the Bible that tells us how God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with strength, ability and power; how He went about doing good and, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him. - Acts 10:38

If Jesus had the strength, ability and power to do good and did great wonders because He was Anointed by the Holy Spirit then how much more us??? As Christ is so are we in this world - 1 John 4:17. We have the power of God to live right and do right. It is God who helps us.

The Bible also tells us that the fruit of the Holy Spirit   [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,   Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control......-Galatians 5:22-23

Have you noticed it is the FRUIT of the Holy Spirit? It's not the fruit of your spirit or the evil spirit. The Holy Spirit Himself will give you the power to have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control and many more moral deeds. Amen!

Not only will all these power be manifested in you through the Holy Spirit but His power will help you to witness about Jesus and His Gospel. But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth. - Acts 1:8

People will see the true power of the Holy Spirit in your life and will be amazed. Friends, the Power of the Holy Spirit is very real and practical. The greatest manifestation power of the Holy Spirit is when He saves and helps you. Be blessed and know that His power is working for you 24 hours 7 days a week.

I pray that you were blessed and much more good News! coming your way!!!!!
